I went to The University of Texas at Austin and have taught professionally since 1993. I gave private lessons 12 years in Plano before moving to Austin in 2012. I teach beginner horns to adults in Lake Travis, Austin, Hays County, New Braunfels, and Schertz school districts, and have a home studio in Circle C. Working with beginners is my specialty! I love getting them started on the right foot.

As a longtime member of the Texas Music Educators Association and International Horn Society, I work alongside band directors to enhance students’ music education. I choose private teaching as my highest musical priority, and love seeing my students excel at all levels. My teaching style is modeled after my own admired teachers, from international heroes to players from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and DFW area symphonies.

When I’m not teaching, I volunteer with many organizations, including playing in praise bands, concerts with the Waterloo Winds, University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band, and Tau Beta Sigma Band fraternity as the UT LHB liaison. I enjoy going to my students’ performances and seeing them shine!
